In the Object Oriented Programming course, which is taught in the third semester of the Systems Engineering career at UNINORTE, students have the opportunity to put their project development and object oriented software development skills into practice with a real client. In this opportunity, Professor Lucy Garcia from the W-STEM initiative was the client of the project and the challenge was the creation of video games that support the dissemination of the role of women in science. These products could be used in promotional campaigns for the program to motivate more young people to enter the career, showing what our students can do from early semesters and taking the opportunity to send a motivational message to high school students so they can be even more aware of the important role of women in STEM careers.
