Online Conference for Digital Gender Equality

The Chair in Digital Gender Gap is organising the Conference for Digital Gender Equality which will take place online on 7 May 2021 at 11:00. Free registration: https://go.uv.es/gencatic/jornades2021 and more information at II Conference for Digital Gender Equality (uv.es).

The session will focus on analysing the existing challenges to achieve the digitalisation of all people, through the improvement of their digital competences, in particular women, especially when situations of vulnerability are added.

The Rector of the Universitat de València (Spain), Ms. Mavi Mestre, and the Hble. Ms. Carolina Pascual, Councillor for Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society, will be in charge of making the official presentation and opening the conference.

Afterwards, the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence, Carme Artigas, will give a talk, after which the data obtained by the Chair in its 2020 report will be presented and a Round Table will be held.

The round table, which will focus on analysing the existing challenges to achieve the digitisation of all people, especially women, will be moderated by Anabel Forte Deltell, Professor of the Department of Statistics and Operations Research, with the participation of Pilar Almenar Vara, Journalist and Director of the project #Impresas, Jose A. Estévez, Manager of Technology and Social Innovation at Ayuda en Acción, Mª Fernanda Jaramillo Polo, Director of Social & Tech, representing the Spanish Federation of Popular Universities (FEUP) and the team of the EFE FEUP Feminist School and Vicente A. Querol Vicente, Director of the Chair of Geographic Digital Divide between the Universitat Jaume I and the Generalitat Valenciana.
