The Universidad Técnica del Norte through the International Project “Building the future of Latin America: engaging women into STEM”, organised an event “Informative Talk on International Scholarships” as part of the Guidance and Mentoring activities of the project. This activity was designed for female students and graduates of the different careers at the Universidad Técnica del Norte.
The aim of this talk was to inform about the Scholarship opportunities that exist to study abroad. The session had two parts, the first a presentation explaining the different programmes available for studying a career abroad. The second part was the presentation of two women engineers, who told about their experience and how they went about obtaining a Scholarship to study abroad. The first one told us about the ERASMUS Scholarship and the second one told us about the DAAD Scholarship.
The online event was completely free and took place on October 13th, 2020 from 18h00 to 19h00 (GTM-5) via Teams platform. As a result of the event, a total of 107 students were registered, with participation from all the faculties (5) of the Technical University of the North.
