The second of August the team from Barranquilla launched at Universidad del Norte (Colombia) the “W-STEM Student Group”. This is an initiative that aims to empower STEM students by addresing subjects such as professional paths, why is it important to have more women in STEM fields, among others. Another aim is to provide young girls in schools with relevant information concerning STEM careers so they can make a concious career path decision, instead of being lead by fear, lack of information and / or stereotypes.
