Engineering Student from Tecnologico de Monterreye will work in the development of a space drill

A young mechatronic engineering female student, Natalie Vilchis, will collaborate in the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at NASA during a research stay in 2020 developing a plasma drill. This technology will allow NASA to explore under the frozen surface of Mars and some satellites in Jupiter and Saturn, looking for water and life forms. Natalie is the only female student from Tecnologico de Monterrey participating in this research team. As a proud ambassador of her institution and her country, she expressed that any goal is achievable through dedication and effort, regardless of nationality, gender and background.
